About Me

I was born with a crayon in my hand!! By the time I was two I was complaining about my friends ruining the points on my crayons! Special crayons were used for the visitors and the good pointy ones were saved for me! From crayons came stick figures and then came drawings of superheros and wrestling figures. By the time I got to college in 1997 my main interests were to study design and drawing. I have had five years of fine art, art history and graphic design study.

My primary focus is on children, animals, men and women and I am also good at drawing vintage portraits. I can combine different pictures into one portrait and have the ability to capture the spirit of the person/animal I am drawing.

My other interests include researching historical data. I am now working on two books to be published by McFarland Publishing Company in 2008. The first book is about Texas Brigade at Gettysburg with an introduction by my father, John Busey, who is a well known historical researcher with five books published on Gettysburg. The second book is the complete Union Army casualties at Gettysburg that lists all 23,000+ who were killed, wounded, captured and missing at the battle.  By the time it is completed, it will be almost 2,500 pages long. Both books have been intensive in research and work.

I am also is an avid movie buff with a collection of over 250 DVD's. The loves of my life are my two dogs Cindy, a nine year old Harrier rescue who's been in my life for six years, and Mandy, a two year old Collie/Shepherd mix rescue that has been with me since she was nine weeks old.

My art is to keep forever. I take pride in wanting you to love it and to be completely happy with your portrait.
